Sangam organized a pilgrimage trip to the famous Sri Marathandavar Temple at Maran, Pahang.
The trip also covered some of the culturally significant ancient Hindu temples around the area . It was one of the memorable events.

“My trip to Maran organised by the Namakkal Sangam, I was one of the participants for the aforesaid tour. Most of the participants knew each other well so there was already a good bonding between us, The tour organising committee namely Mariappan and Palaniammal should be commended for their efforts in organising this successful trip taking into consideration the various needs of the group including the hotel stay, food, transportation etc. Mariappan was the live wire making sure the group participated in all the activities. There was fun and joy throughout the trip.
